The development team at EA Sports might be getting ready to announce an official FIFA World Cup video game in the coming days, although it is not yet willing to offer any details on whether it is planning a standalone experience or a big downloadable content for FIFA 14.

The official Twitter account of the game is showing an image that could be part of the cover, but the company is not reacting to fans who are asking for more information.

The FIFA World Cup is the biggest football event in the world and it will take place in Brazil during the summer.

EA Sports has previously said that it might not have the resources required to create a separate game because it is focusing on improving the Ignite engine for FIFA 15.

The company might deliver a new Tournament mode for its currently available sim, while also tweaking the Ultimate Team mode to accommodate World Cup matches.
