Rich Taylor, the senior vice president of communications at the Entertainment Software Association, says that the relevance of the E3 trade show is not diminishing in any way and that the event will be linked to the Los Angeles Convention Center until 2016.

He tells GamesIndustry.biz that, “I think people really are fairly thrilled about what we have now and the model we have now, the size we have now, the timing we have now. That seems to be where the model will sit for the foreseeable future.”

E3 2013 will take place between June 11-13.

Announcements about both the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox 720 from Microsoft are expected during the event.

Some companies have elected to skip E3 2013 and Nintendo has revealed that it has no plans to host a traditional press conference.
