Omega Force makes its debut on next-gen consoles with the release of Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends, which also landed on the PlayStation 4 home entertainment system from Sony.

As such, publisher Tecmo Koei has released a comparison video that shows off just how the developer has tweaked the hack-and-slash game for its cross-gen launch, and what the differences between the two versions are.

The trailer is a side-by-side comparison between Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends for the PlayStation 3 and Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition for the PlayStation 4, which shows the two games to be almost identical, with the most obvious difference being the quality of shadows and lighting effects.

Players can pick up Xtreme Legends as a stand-alone expansion for the PlayStation 3, or as a bundle with the original Dynasty Warrriors 8 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, and the Complete Edition also allows for saved games to be imported from the PlayStation 3 original version.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends is out in Japan since November last year and was released in North America on March 25. The game will be released in Europe on April 4, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in a bundle also containing the original Dynasty Warriors 8, and for the PlayStation 3 as a standalone expansion.
