The creator does not recommend trying it with a new char

Dying Light developer Techland has revealed that it's working on some official free tools for modders to make use of, but gamers are already working on modifying the game files on their own.

The tools might be on the way, but that doesn't prevent users from playing with the game and attempting to create interesting new ways to enjoy the zombie survival title.

For the time being, the most interesting thing anyone has created is a mod that greatly increases the power of the dropkick, making it able to project zombies into outer space, in hopes of finding alien life.

Another such mod is the Super Aggressive Zombies Mod, bringing forth a simple change that completely alters the way the game is played, making the slow shamblers as nimble as the nightmarish "I Am Legend" runners, and increasing the distance from which zombies can sense you and attack.

You can see the mod in action in the video below, showing a pretty buffed-up character under siege. You can find the mod on NexusMods, and it also works in cooperative multiplayer, as long as every player has the mod installed.

You can read our review of Dying Light if you want to see what makes the game so great and why hitting zombies over the head repeatedly with all sort of implements is fun.
