Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition has introduced support for up to eight people in multiplayer, in the latest update from General Arcade.

The Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition includes the enhanced version of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, an additional three expansions packs and the classic version of the original game.

The patch introduces support for both cooperative play and deathmatch. The update also introduces three new achievements relating to multiplayer, and all the single-player maps as well as more than 200 community-made maps are all available for both online play modes.

Fans of the game have had to wait for a long time for the opportunity to duke it out in this classic game, that is now celebrating its 18th birthday.

Coincidentally, Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition is currently featured at a 60 percent discount on Steam's Midweek Madness!, offer available until January 31.
