Driveclub unfortunately missed its intended release date at the launch of Sony's PlayStation 4 console, but now it appears that the title is making headway, as it has just been given an ESRB rating.

The anticipated racing game was initially scheduled to be part of the launching line-up of PS4, but its developers Evolution Studios have opted to delay it into “early 2014” in order to get more time to fully “realize the next-gen racing vision.”

Driveclub aims to be a truly innovative and socially connected racing game, and Sony Worldwide Studios reassured PS4 buyers that the Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition will still be part of the Instant Game Collection when it launches.

Now the game has just received an E rating for “Everyone,” and the ESRB rating report describes Driveclub as a “racing simulation game in which players drive real world cars around international race tracks. Players can compete in a variety of race series, time trials, and drift challenges.”

That being said, an official release date is still to be communicated by Sony.
