Driveclub developer Evolution Studios confirms that it still has a lot of work ahead of it until it's ready to debut the free Driveclub PS Plus Edition, as promised to fans back in October when the actual game appeared on the PS4.

Driveclub was one of the biggest PS exclusives set to appear in November of last year, not just because it delivered a great racing experience but also because it was set to get a free version of the game for those who had PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

The game got delayed for almost a year, and in October it finally launched onto the PS4 but was immediately hit with issues relating to its online systems, which were so critical to the whole social racing aspect of the game.

As a result, Evolution started working hard to improve existing servers and add new ones, and it also decided to delay the launch of the PS Plus version of Driveclub until the game was ready to handle all those people.

Now, seeing as how the game is much more stable and has just received a special update, fans are once again getting restless about the long awaited PS Plus edition.

Unfortunately for them, the studio confirms on the official Twitter that it still has a lot of work to do in regards to improving the capacity of the servers and the game's performance. As such, it's going to be a while until all PS Plus subscribers can join in on the fun.
