Driveclub developer Evolution Studios has started teasing the first major downloadable expansion for the PS4 exclusive racing game, and owners will soon be able to explore Japan inside the impressive experience, as rumored some time ago.

Driveclub rolled out back in October of last year, after almost a one-year delay, and it was immediately met with some particularly nasty online issues, as neither the game's code nor its multiplayer servers was ready to handle the influx of users from all around the world.

After many weeks of issues, the game's online mode started coming back to normal, and now the experience is pretty stable, even though Evolution says that it still has some work to do before it can release the free PS Plus edition to users from all around the world.

Until then, the studio isn't stopping work on downloadable content, as it's just started teasing the next big expansion for the game, in the form of the Japan territory.

The game ships with five countries, starting with the United Kingdom and continuing with India, Norway, Canada, and Chile. Now, a sixth setting, in the form of Japan, is set to appear for the game in the future.

The country was leaked last year in an official video, and now it seems that its release is getting close. Expect to hear more in the following weeks. Until then, check out the teaser image posted by Evolution on the game's Facebook page.
