Video game publisher Square Enix is registering two new trademarks for its Dragon Quest series, Luminaries of the Legendary Line and The Seeds of Salvation, which suggest that new titles in the series might be ready for launch on Western markets.

The two names are trademarked in Japan, but are using English as the main language, which has been the case with previous titles that are set to appear in North America and in Europe, according to Siliconera.

The two titles are also following the alliteration patterns that were linked to other games in the franchise, including Dragon Quest 5: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, Dragon Quest 6: Realms of Revelation and Dragon Quest 9: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.

Square Enix has not offered an official response regarding the trademarks or the future of the Dragon Quest series.

The Japanese role-playing game franchise traditionally sells better in Japan, but fans in the West have always lobbied for localized releases.
