Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Dragon Quest Heroes, showing some new gameplay bits.

Dragon Quest Heroes seems like just another Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warriors game reskinned to look like it has some of Dragon Quest's characters and locales, and this impression is amplified by the fact that it's being developed by Omega Force.

The upcoming hack-and-slash game intends to put a spin on the traditional warriors formula, seeing you go on adventures with other characters in a party, meaning that you have four characters fighting together, instead of the usual way of doing things, where you played the role of a fantasy medieval Rambo, alone against an enemy army.

As in any Warriors game, each of the character has their own weapon of choice and skill set, and switching between characters in order to use the right ability at the best time will prove instrumental in taking down tougher foes.

Dragon Quest Heroes is coming out on February 26, in Japan, headed to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 home consoles from Sony. For the time being, it is unknown when or even if publisher Square Enix intends to localize the title and release it on western markets.
