Bandai Namco's next installment in the Dragon Ball series of video games, titled Dragon Ball Xenoverse, has just received a fresh batch of screenshots to showcase its unique visual scheme.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse was announced around two weeks ago, when the European branch of Bandai Namco revealed that the company was at the time working on delivering the next entry in the fighting game series to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.

The project's development is being handled by Dimps, the same team that created Dragon Ball Z: Budokai and also worked on Capcom's Super Street Fighter 4 game.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse aims to deliver the action-packed and visually stunning battles between Goku and some of his greatest adversaries, the likes of Frieza, Cell, Vegeta and many others, with a fundamental shift in gameplay from previous entries in the franchise.

In addition to this, the upcoming title will also deliver a whole new world setup complete with a mysterious, futuristic city, and an unknown fighter that will make his debut in the series. Although for now the precise details are sparse, Bandai Namco is bound to reveal more over the coming months.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is currently scheduled to come out sometime in 2015, for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
