The development team at BioWare announces that it has created a Holiday build for Dragon Age: Inquisition that will be played by the game makers and a small number of other fans of the series, in order to test the core narrative and gameplay mechanics.

Mark Darrah, the executive producer working on the franchise, states on the official blog of the company that, "These types of builds go way back in BioWare’s history. Effectively, they are builds we create around the holiday break that are packaged in a way that allows the team, and other parts of BioWare, to play the game in as complete of a state as we can get it."

He also says that the new Dragon Age has evolved a lot since it was last shown to the public during the PAX event.

Darrah explains that the main storyline can be played from beginning to end in interactive form and that all the core gameplay elements are working together.

BioWare is starting voice recording for Inquisition and adding music while also working on class balance and ending work on the main technology powering the game.
