The final version of the PS4 firmware update 1.50 is now available for download and can be applied both from within the actual console and from a USB drive.

The PlayStation 4 is set to launch later this week, on November 15, in North America, and Sony is putting the finishing touches on all the technical aspects of the release.

Chief among these things is software update 1.50, which practically adds all sorts of features to the next-gen console.

While a mislabeled version of the firmware update appeared some time ago on the PSN, Sony has now confirmed that the final build of the new system software for the PS4 is available.

You can apply it straight from the console by connecting it to the Internet, or you can download now PS4 firmware update 1.50 from Softpedia, put it on a USB drive, and install it on your console.
