PlayStation 4 firmware update 1.51 is now available for download, promising to solve the different issues and errors caused by the basic 1.50 system software of the next-gen console.

Sony launched the PS4 last week in North America, and alongside it a special 1.50 firmware update was rolled out, turning on a variety of features and systems for Sony's next-gen console.

Unfortunately, the device is still plagued by certain problems and, according to a retracted statement from EA, it even causes crashes for many games.

Now, Sony has rolled out a special firmware update in the form of version 1.51, weighing in at 323MB.

The new system software for the PS4 can be downloaded and applied automatically through the console when it's connected to the PlayStation Network, according to users on Reddit.

Update: You can also download PS4 firmware 1.51 via Softpedia and apply it on the console through a USB drive using Sony's guide.
