The new patch is already available on Steam right now

A brand new Dota 2 update has just been rolled out onto the Steam digital distribution service by Valve, bringing quite a few background changes, not to mention a special loading screen for those who bought The International 4 Compendium, as well as changes to the voting sections in the actual digital item.

Dota 2 is set to receive its fourth major The International tournament next month, so Valve has been making quite a few tweaks and changes to the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) experience.

Now, a fresh patch has just gone live on Steam, via OnGamers, and it includes, once again, mostly background tweaks, although a few other additions have also been made.

More specifically, Compendium owners have a new loading screen, and a set of different idle animations for heroes like Lich or Ancient Apparition have been added when they're viewed in the loadout selection screen.

What's more, Compendium owners can also vote on the next stage in the Voice Pack, Arcana Showdown, and Model Rework categories.

You can expect Valve to release only a few more updates ahead of The International 4 next month, since it doesn't want to make sweeping changes that could affect the performance of teams at the huge eSports competition.
