After revealing its contents and quite a few details, the Dota 2 First Blood Update is now available for download via the Steam service, weighing in at 388.3MB.

Dota 2 has been around for quite some time but only recently did the extremely popular online battle arena game go public, after developer Valve decided it had spent enough time in closed beta.

Now, after a few months since that launch, the first big patch for Dota 2 is rolling out, in the form of the First Blood update.

The huge patch introduces all sorts of brand new features, according to the official website, chief among which being support for Local Area Networks, meaning players don't have to connect to Valve’s servers if they just want to play locally.

A new Captain's Draft mode, an improved armory, a Portal pack, and new treasures are also included in the massive update, so download it right now by starting Steam.
