A brand new Dota 2 patch is now available for download on the Steam service, bringing forth fresh rewards and making a few tweaks ahead of the start of The International 4 tournament playoffs.

Dota 2 is set to receive its biggest eSports competition yet, with Valve and the community raising a huge amount of money for the prize pool of The International 4.

The large tournament begins today with the playoffs between the four wildcard teams, and Valve has rolled out a fresh update for the game that brings a few more rewards.

First up, as you can see in the image above, is the Trove Carafe, which is an alternate version of the Trove Cask that's given to those who buy merchandise from The International 4 in Seattle.

Fans can also get Autographed versions of the Trove Carafe with special gems bearing the nicknames of various Dota 2 personalities.

Special effects have been added to the The International 4 merchandise in the game, such as Pudge's Scorching Talon Hook or Razor's Severing Crest.

A few gameplay tweaks have also been included in the update, according to Reddit, as players can purchase up to 24 items that can be placed on the ground. No longer can they spam buy all sorts of useless things to clutter up the fountain zone.
