The development team at Larian Studios working on Divinity: Original Sin is apologizing for the fact that it was not able to deliver the alpha stage during November by announcing that all those who have backed the game on Kickstarter will be able to take part in the entire testing process.

The company explains on the official page that, “We’re working really hard to get everything done and we do expect the alpha to be out before our X-mas break, but ... well maybe you want to watch the big surprise first.”

Initially, only a selected number of players were set to test the game, but it seems that the team is looking for more feedback and is opening up both alpha and beta to the entire backer community.

Divinity: Original Sin remains on track to be launched on the PC at some point in early 2014.
