Depending on the play style and side quests, it can take even longer to finish

Dishonored is a massive game and, according to one of the developers from Arkane Studios, it will take a lot of hours to complete, depending on the player’s style and his disposition towards side quests.

Arkane and Bethesda are getting ready to release Dishonored all around the world next week and, after confirming yesterday that the game went gold and was ready for launch, one of the studio’s level designers revealed a few facts about the game’s campaign.

In a thread over on the Bethesda forums, fans were talking about the supposed length of the story and Level Designer Dan Todd chimed in to say that his recent “ghost” playthrough, in which he avoided setting off alarms or killing enemies, took around 22 hours.

He didn’t explore every nook and cranny and already knew the solution to puzzles and quests, so regular players will spend way more time with the game.

Considering Dishonored is a single-player only game, it’s great to hear that its story is quite lengthy. Let’s just hope it can keep players hooked on the experience in order for them to finish it.
