Codemasters will debut a demo for its upcoming Dirt Showdown racing game later today on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Dirt Showdown takes the racing series developed by Codemasters into a new direction, emphasizing destruction and tricks over racing skills.

While it may not feature the same rally events, it certainly looks quite impressive, as we’ve seen from previous videos.

Today, players will be able to take a look for themselves as a demo for Dirt Showdown will be launched across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms all over the world.

The trial includes a solo and a multiplayer event from the game’s Demolition mode, meaning players will be able to fight it out with others by crashing into their cars with their own vehicles.

The final version of Dirt Showdown will be launched in Europe on May 25 and in North America on May 29.
