Create a new character and race to the top

Blizzard Entertainment has just kicked off Season 2 of Diablo 3, now live in all regions, allowing players to compete once more.

Seasons are an optional gameplay mode, spanning a fixed period of time and recurring, enabling Diablo 3 players on PC to start over fresh, leveling a hero on either Normal or Hardcore, and getting it as high as possible without any previous items, currency, or Paragon levels.

The whole purpose is to compete against other players trying to get as far as possible within the same constraints, and you can check your progress in the leaderboards. There are a ton of challenges and rewards, including new Legendaries and achievements.

In order to create a seasonal hero, all you have to do is create a new character, select your class, gender and name as usual, and then check the Seasonal Hero checkbox, in the lower left hand side of the screen.

Once a season is over, your hard work won’t be for nothing, as everything you have accumulated will be rolled over to your regular account.

Patch 2.1.2 is still in testing on the public test realms for the time being, and there is still no estimated time of arrival on it. It’s on the horizon though.
