Video game developer Blizzard announces that the Reaper of Souls expansion for its title Diablo 3 is at the moment partially ready for download, with the game launcher and the official Battle.net desktop app set to start getting around 6 GB of data when they are first accessed.

The company says in an official blog post that this is not the full info linked to the game expansion, but just a future patch that will be available to all the players who have the title, regardless of whether they have picked up Reaper of Souls or not.

Blizzard basically wants to make sure that gamers get as much data as possible before the launch date in order to lessen the load on its network infrastructure during that moment.

All the information delivered to players from Reaper of Souls at the moment is encrypted and the studio says that gamers should not try to tamper with it in order to get more info about the expansion.

New content added will include a new class, more enemies and items.
