Developer Almost Human is delivering a new update for its upcoming Legend of Grimrock 2 focused on the new functionality included in the user interface and how it will improve the overall experience of the game.

For the sequel, the team aims to add an extra layer of information to the user interface, especially when it comes to characters and their inventories, making it simpler to get access to relevant data faster – in the middle of an action sequence, for example.

In a development blog for Legend of Grimrock 2, Almost Human states, “You can now cycle through the characters by clicking on the arrows on the left and right side of the portrait. Also, the main statistics, experience, food, health, energy, protection and evasion are always visible on the upper half of the character sheet.”

The game will take players outside for the first time, using new environments and enemies, but will keep all the core mechanics of the original.

All the races are now moddable, which means that gamers can customize their experience even more.
