14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Bungie says that the second screen functionality for its new Destiny experience will be called The Companion and is designed to offer an alternate way of exploring the game world.
The studio states on the official site that, “The Companion will let you explore the world of Destiny wherever life finds you.”
Those who are interested in it need to sign up on the site and then download the official application.
Bungie promises that, “There will come a glorious day when both platforms will become your Tower away from the Tower.”
It’s unclear whether The Companion for Destiny is designed to offer actual gameplay or will only allow players to monitor their characters and to communicate with friends.
Destiny is set to be launched on September 9 all over the world on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and current-gen consoles.
