Gamers will be able to experiment with their characters

The development team at Bungie wants gamers who will play the coming Destiny to think of their character’s Focus as different from the build they are trying to create.

Tyson Green, one of the leading developers working on the shooter, is quoted by Game Informer as saying that, “your build is a bigger thing because it also brings into account which weapons you’re using and what modifiers are on your armor. I want people to be able to talk about playing a Void Warlock sniper build, which is something that encompasses more than just the focus item.”

Destiny is designed to allow gamers to evolve their character in many ways and the team wants to see as much variety as possible in the end product.

The shooter will have influences from MMOs and from role-playing titles, but at its core it will focus on fast paced combat with a variety of weapons and enemies.

The title will be out on Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and current-gen consoles on September 9, 2014.
