Ryan Ellis, the technical art director working at Bungie, says that his team plans to use a third-person perspective in its upcoming Destiny in order to underline the most important moments and show the most interesting moves that a character can perform.

He is quoted by ShackNews as saying that, “There is some third-person elements in the game still. That’s important for gameplay, and to show off your cool moves and the cool armour you get.”

The company has previously explained that the entire experience at one point used the third-person perspective, but it was abandoned in order to create more action-driven gameplay.

Destiny is the first game that Bungie has created since it abandoned the Halo franchise and severed its ties with Microsoft.

The game is expected to launch in the second half of next year on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and current-gen consoles.
