The development team at Bungie is announcing that there will be a series of relatively short-term interruptions linked to the connection for Destiny during the morning of Monday, May 18, as the company is getting ready to deploy the House of Wolves expansion.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the company, which also says that a one-hour warning will be given and that fans should stay tuned starting at 8 AM Pacific Time.

It's unclear whether the disruption is aimed at delivering the 1.2.0.1 update for Destiny or if there are server-side changes that need to be implemented.

The House of Wolves expansion for Destiny is designed to introduce quite a bit of new content that will allow gamers to experience new end-game activities.

Trials of Osiris is designed to focus on teams and will reward gamers who are very successful in PvP, while Prison of Elders allows gamers to try and resist waves of enemies.

House of Wolves will also increase the level cap and will add more items and weapons that can be used by the Guardians.

A number of big changes for Destiny have already been implemented with the 1.2.0 update.
