14 DAY TRIAL // Bungie and Sony confirm that the upcoming The Dark Below expansion for Destiny is going to have exclusive features and elements for those who get it on the PS4 or PS3 consoles, in the form of a special raid and an exotic shotgun.
Destiny came out back in September, and while it failed to live up to the huge amount of hype, the multiplayer shooter is still quite popular across the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One platforms.
Currently, developer Bungie is preparing to unleash the first premium expansion for the game, called The Dark Below, which is set to introduce new story missions, weapons, gear, a higher level cap, fresh competitive multiplayer maps and cooperative raids, and much more.
Besides all these things, the add-on also comes with exclusive perks for owners of the game on PS4 or PS3, as it seems that the partnership between Sony, Bungie, and Activision continues after the initial launch earlier this year, according to the PS blog announcement.
As such, all Destiny owners who get The Dark Below on PS4 or Xbox One will be able to enjoy an exclusive Strike mission called The Undying Mind, which allows three players to travel through a portal and battle the Vex faction in the Black Garden.
They'll also be able to wield an exotic-level shotgun called The 4th Horseman, which features four barrels, five shots, a faster rate of fire, and two special bonuses.
The Dark Below arrives for Destiny next week.
