The Destiny servers are finally operational, meaning owners of early physical copies of the game across PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One can start playing the shooter.

Destiny has been eagerly awaited by millions of fans from around the world, especially since the alpha and beta test phases have allowed many of them to see what the multiplayer shooter is all about and how it handles on their own platforms.

Now, ahead of the game's September 9 debut, the online servers have just been turned on by Bungie, meaning they're ready for the influx of players who already have their physical copies of the game across PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Bear in mind that owners of digital copies, while they might have the files already pre-downloaded onto their consoles, won't be able to turn the game on until their timer expires, most probably on the September 9 calendar date.

Still, this isn't stopping those with early copies from streaming the game, as already many Twitch users are live streaming their experiences for tens of thousands of viewers to enjoy.

Expect to see more of Destiny as the game starts rolling out around the world across its many different platforms.
