DeeJ, a community manager working at Bungie, says that customization is designed to be one of the core elements of the new Destiny, with players able to tweak all the weapons that they are using and all the gear that they are wearing.

The developer tells the PlayStation Blog that, “You create a character, pick a class, gender, and race, and then you customize the way you look and fight by completing missions, defeating enemies, or maybe just by exploring the world.”

Recently, the company has revealed a shotgun called the Silver Dollar and has explained how a simple object can be used to offer information about the game world and expand its lore.

Bungie says that players will also be able to use attachments in order to develop a personal history with items.

The full game will be launched on current and next-gen consoles in 2014.
