Bungie confirms that patch 1.2.0 for Destiny is finally going to launch today, May 15, all around the world. While players are invited to return to the title screen to enable the update, they won't be kicked from their activities.

Destiny is set to receive its long-awaited second expansion, House of Wolves, next week, but before that the studio promised to debut update 1.2.0, which brings plenty of enhancements for all owners of the multiplayer shooter.

Unfortunately, the patch's release got delayed due to a last-minute glitch, which required quite a bit of time to fix and ensure that it doesn't result in new problems.

Now, Bungie confirms on Twitter that update 1.2.0 for Destiny is finally going to launch today, May 15, worldwide, across PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.

Unfortunately, no exact timing is given, although it's quite possible that the regular 10am PDT schedule used by previous patches is employed for this new one.

The studio also mentions that, while players need to return to the title screen to get the update for Destiny, they won't be kicked from their activities, so you shouldn't worry about losing progress, loot, or other rewards when the patch actually drops.

Expect an official changelog for Destiny update 1.2.0 soon enough.
