The unorthodox reveal shows that there's a lot to do in the upcoming shooter

A game’s list of trophies and achievements usually gets leaked online by specialized websites that dig them out of the client files somehow, but developer Bungie has opted to forgo the traditional way and has decided to reveal the list of Destiny achievements by itself.

The latest weekly update blog post from the company shows that there’s quite a lot to be done in its upcoming online multiplayer first-person shooter game. Time to pull a Barney Stinson, raise an eyebrow and say, “challenge accepted.”

At first glance, the list doesn’t seem to include ridiculous stuff, with most of the achievements being pretty straight forward and measuring your progress and mastery of the game. There are a couple that look like they might take a while to get, though, and might even be impossible until you get a fully geared character rolling.

Destiny is currently scheduled to come out on September 9, headed for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 computer entertainment systems from Sony. The game will have some timed PS3 and PS4 exclusives, which won’t be available on the other platforms until fall 2015.

Also, there’s another beta test incoming on July 17, and this time around Xbox system owners will also be able to join in.
