Bungie confirms that the upcoming Destiny beta stage requires a few extra things depending on the platform, such as Xbox Live Gold on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, or PS Plus on PS3 or PS4.

The Destiny beta stage kicks off later this week across PS3 and PS4 and next week on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

As such, developer Destiny has started offering even more details about it.

Now, the studio has posted an FAQ on its website, through which it confirms a few extra requirements for the new beta.

First up, on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, Bungie reveals that an Xbox Live Gold subscription is needed to play the beta test of Destiny.

On the PS3 and PS4 platforms, a PlayStation Plus membership is also needed but only for some activities. Based on the previous alpha test phase on PS4, Plus membership was needed for cooperative or competitive encounters. For the story-based content, it wasn't required.

"Xbox Live Gold is required to play and PlayStation Plus is required for some activities. Destiny also requires a broadband internet connection," Bungie says on its website.

Destiny beta starts on July 17 for PS4 and PS3 and on July 23 on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
