Good news for PlayStation fans anxious to get their hands on some Destiny multiplayer gameplay, as Sony has just confirmed the beta will start on July 17.

If you're still not content with the new release date for the Destiny beta, then you might want to try out the game in alpha stage. Yes, because Andrew House, Sony's CEO has just announced during E3's press conference that a Destiny alpha will be available this week starting on June 12.

Both beta and alpha programs have been confirmed for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles, but Xbox owners have not been forgotten.

However, while we do not have an official release date for Destiny beta, we did learn that it would come on Xbox consoles soon after its release on PlayStation.

It is also worth mentioning that the alpha for Destiny will only last until the end of the week, so you might want to get everything ready for the weekend if you don't want miss the opportunity to have a glimpse at one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Destiny has already been confirmed for release on September 9 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
