Video game publisher Nordic Games announces that it has acquired the rights to the Desperados and Silver intellectual properties from Atari and intends to announce plans linked to their future in the coming months.

Desperados is a squad-based real-time tactics title which is set in the Wild West and was first launched in 2001.

A sequel was delivered in 2006 and both were created by the team that was then known as Spellbound, which also created titles in the Gothic series.

Silver is an action role-playing game that was launched in 2009 and nothing was done with the franchise since then.

It’s unclear how much the two series have cost, but the company is asking what it should do with them.

Nordic Games has also acquired Darksiders, Red Faction, Destroy All Humans and MX vs. ATV from THQ when it went bankrupt.
