Renegade Kid, developer of Dementium, has just announced its plans to develop another 3DS first person shooter, Moon Chronicles.

The new project is a remake of the 2009 Nintendo DS first person shooter Moon, an atmospheric title that follows a soldier’s exploration of an unknown structure on the surface of the Moon.

Moon Chronicles will use an episodic structure, with the first season being a direct remake of the old Moon game, to be released over the course of four episodes, a standalone launch episode and another 3 DLC expansions to come shortly after that.

The main chunk is approximated at around four hours of gameplay, with each of the following episodes adding another two hours of content.

Developer Renegade Kid also stated its plan to deliver a second season next year, featuring brand new content, and taking place after the events of the original game, as reported by IGN.

Moon Chronicles is going to be released exclusively on the Nintendo eShop, during the course of 2014.
