Team Ninja studio head Yosuke Hayashi announced that Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 would receive an update in February, and a new fighter this spring.

Hayashi stated that the Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate update 1.04, planned for February, would not include the new fighter Marie Rose, but that players would see her some time during this spring.

The patch will first land for the Japan-exclusive arcade version of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, later this month, according to Free Step Dodge.

Marie Rose was unveiled in November, in a video for the arcade version of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. She is a Swedish somewhat-gothic brawler, whose fighting style is based on the Russian military martial art Systema.

Tecmo Koei confirmed the plans to add the new fighter Marie Rose to all versions of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate came out in September, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems, worldwide.
