14 DAY TRIAL // Brent Arnst, one of the developers working on Dead Rising 3, says that his team has created a set of interesting new mechanics that will be offered to those who use a SmartGlass companion device while playing the undead experience.
He writes on Gamasutra that players will be able to take phone calls from a mysterious new character, which will then offer more information about the adventure the gamer is undertaking.
He says, “The unique character who phones you comes with his own background and that he is injecting his own motivation and interests into the experience. This character comes with missions that you can only access by receiving calls or texts on your smart device.”
The Dead Rising 3 developer has not said how long the SmartGlass exclusive content is.
The new game will be offered on launch alongside the Xbox One on November 22 in 13 core territories.
