Video game publisher Capcom announces that it has managed to ship more than one million copies of its undead powered Dead Rising 3 to gamers in all the territories where the Xbox One home console from Microsoft has also been launched.

The company explains in an official announcement that the numbers tracked refer to the period until December 20 of 2013 and that since then, a number of other copies have been delivered to players in time for Christmas.

The publisher says that Dead Rising 3 is the 62nd game in its history to pass the 1 million milestone.

At the moment, fans can download the Operation Broken Eagle, which allows gamers to access new adventures and items.

The game is exclusive to the Xbox One. The fact that its sales are just about one quarter of those of the hardware might signal a worrying long-term trend.
