It seems that the developers at Yager working on Dead Island 2 and publisher Deep Silver have delayed the launch date for the zombie title to September of this year, despite the fact that their official position says it is still set to arrive in the spring.

The information comes from sources familiar with the creation of the title that have spoken to the Czech version of Eurogamer.

They explained that the decision was made because the game needs more time to show off its unique elements.

Deep Silver has not commented on the information.

Before it is launched, Dead Island 2 is supposed to also get a full beta test, which will be open to those who have bought Escape Dead Island and will first be introduced for gamers on the PlayStation 4 before it moves to Xbox One and PC.

Dead Island is designed to offer a new set of mechanics and locations, but no new information about it has been delivered for a while.

Gamers will get to hunt the undead enemies in Los Angeles and other locations in California, and Yager has said that it has plans to make the game more challenging and violent.

It seems that the Rage concept is being refined and will give players more options.
