Andre Maguire, the creative director working at Zombie Studios, says that their upcoming project Daylight will use procedurally generated environments and scary moments to make sure that players are terrified every time they launch the game.

He tells the official PlayStation Blog that, “We knew that we had something special with Unreal Engine 4, and the ability to procedurally generate environments and scary content, so it just made sense.”

The developer believes that most gamers are scared of the unknown and it will be a good strategy to always keep them guessing when playing Daylight.

The game will be launched on the PlayStation 4 in 2014 and it will use a mobile phone as the focus of the paranormal experience3.

Dead Rising 3, a game that’s only offered on the Xbox One from Microsoft, is also using a procedural system to create new zombie types while the developers work on the environments.
