Gamers will need to offer feedback to improve the experience

Dean Hall, aka Rocket, the creator of the DayZ mod for ArmA 2, says that the alpha stage for its standalone video game is currently ongoing, with 30 to 100 people currently taking part.

The developer is quoted by VG247 as saying, “They’re already in. They’re already playing it. It’s good… We’re only running one server. We are doing content updates all the time.”

Hall says he still plans to expand the testing stage in June, with a number of players able to get access and test the core features of the game while delivering feedback.

Late in the year, DayZ Standalone will go into beta stage and even more gamers will be able to explore its featured island and try to survive the zombie outbreak.

The game will use a business model that allows players to pay a smaller price as long as they are willing to get the game early.
