THQ has confirmed that Darksiders II, its recently delayed hack and slash game, will be launched on August 14, in North America, and August 17, supposedly, in Europe.

Quite a lot of gamers, who fell in love with the sharp mechanics from the original Darksiders, await its sequel.

Sadly for them, the hack and slash experience has recently been delayed from its June release date and pushed back into August.

Now, during its financial earnings report, THQ has confirmed a new launch date for Darksiders 2, which will come out in North America on August 14.

While a release date for Europe and the rest of the world hasn’t been mentioned, you can bet that gamers outside North America will be able to play Darksiders II on August 17.

The game will come out for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and a Nintendo Wii U version is planned to appear later this year, once the new home console is actually launched.
