Video game developer From Software and publisher Namco Bandai announce that they are working on an official comic book tie-in for the upcoming Dark Souls II, which will feature stories and graphics from some of the most acclaimed creators working in the medium.

The project is called Into the Light and will feature some of the most recognizable environments and enemies from the game.

Writing is done by Rob Williams and Andi Ewington, who have worked on projects like Ghost Rider, Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark X-Men, Star Wars Tales, Judge Dredd: Trifecta.

Simon Coleby is in charge of the art of Dark Souls II: Into the Light and his previous works include Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper and The Authority.

The authors state, “The gothic environments, unworldly monsters, eldritch atmosphere, adventure and terror are the best arguments that an artist could wish for!”

Dark Souls II is set to launch in early March of 2014 on the PC and on current-gen home consoles.
