Dark Souls 2 will see the addition of two more fan-made shields, that will both be making an apparition inside the game as well as in real-life, all part of From Software’s ongoing contest.

Both winners of the contest will receive a real-life version of the shields they designed, crafted by professional blacksmiths with experience in making medieval replicas. They will also be gifted with a signed Collector’s Edition of the upcoming Dark Souls 2.

The first one was the “Rose Shield,” designed by fan Illim, that will make the transition in-game as the “Blossom Kite Shield,” a relic that will “soothe the weary heart of its bearer.”

The second entry to win in the contest is “Disunion,” a design from Charles Collier that will make its way into the game under the name “WatchDragon Parma,” with its twin dragon artwork being indicative of the “ebb and flow of the fate of all things living.”

Dark Souls 2 is set to launch in March, for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
