Video game publisher Namco Bandai says that it has big plans for the marketing of the upcoming Dark Souls 2, matching the amounts spent by any other companies on their AAA titles.

Lee Kirton, the public relations director, tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “The good thing this time round is we're investing more in it from a marketing perspective. With Dark Souls and Demon Souls it was very focused, small-scale. We're treating this as a massive, massive triple-A title.”

Namco believes that the type of players who loved The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from Bethesda might be tempted to try out Dark Souls 2.

The new video game will also seek to satisfy the requirements of all fans of the first title in the series.

Dark Souls 2 will be launched on current-gen consoles and the PC.
