The ESRB announces that the upcoming Dark Souls 2 from developer From Software and publisher Namco Bandai has been given a T from Teen rating, which means that a wider group of potential gamers will be able to buy it.

The T rating has been given with mentions about the presence of blood and gore, mildly offensive language and some partial nudity.

The first title in the series was rated M for Mature and still managed to deliver solid sales.

Dark Souls 2 will be offered on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft on March 11 in North America and March 14 in Europe.

The game will also be offered on the PC at some point in May.

From Software has expressed a desire to make the game more accessible, while keeping the difficulty level that has attracted so many positive comments for the first title in the franchise.
