14 DAY TRIAL // Dark Souls 2 has just received a set of fresh details about the new covenants that will be present in its story campaign, in the form of two factions that players can choose: the Warriors of Sunlight and the Guardians of the Bell.
Dark Souls had special covenants that acted like factions and allowed players to join them in order to receive different quests and loot.
Dark Souls 2 will change some of these factions, and the first details about two new groups have appeared in Famitsu magazine, via NeoGAF.
According to the website, the first new group is Warriors of Sunlight, which functions like the Sunlight covenant in Dark Souls 1, complete with classic gestures.
The second faction is the Guardians of the Bell, which work like the Forest Defenders from the previous game, only you are summoned as a black phantom to stop invaders from ringing two bells somewhere in the world.
Expect to hear more details about Dark Souls 2's covenants as we get closer to the game's debut in March 2014.
