An ad created by video game publisher Namco Bandai suggests that the upcoming Dark Souls 2 will be launched on the PC on April 25 of this year, after being offered on both the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 on March 11 in the US and March 14 in the EU.

The image was captured by Siliconera and is probably more accurate when it comes to the release date than the placeholder on Amazon, which said that the title will be offered on May 31.

Namco Bandai has said that it does not want to talk about the launch date for the PC version of Dark Souls 2 at the moment but that it might make an announcement soon.

The From Software experience will be delivered in full 1080p and 60 frames per second on the PC via the Steam digital distribution service from Valve.

Dark Souls 2 is widely awaited by fans of the first title in the series and is set to deliver a similar set of mechanics and a new narrative that is filled with mysterious characters.

From Software has promised that the PC version of the game will not have the bugs that affected the first installment in the franchise.
