Video game developer Valve announces that it is planning to launch a major event for DOTA 2 at the end of January 2014, on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, and wants the community to help with the required items and images.

In an official blog, the studio explains that, “A new event is coming to Dota 2 at the end of January, and we are looking for submissions that draw on visual themes from the Chinese New Year, Chinese history, and springtime.”

All those who are interested in contributing need to create content and upload it to the Steam Workshop using the tag Spring 2014 until January 15 of next year.

Those members of the community who are not interested in creating content for DOTA 2 should vote on the best designs and wait for the official event to see which were included.

DOTA 2 has recently launched its winter event and has dropped all sign-ups.
